On October 22nd, GTU and friends marched from our weekly meeting place, Pacific Park, to the Glendale City Hall steps. We purposely didn’t publically publish our route so we are posting this after the fact! It was amazing to walk through the city, speak with so many Glendale residents struggling as renters and interested to learn their rights, and draw attention to the ways this city fails us and ways we can support each other. Once we reached city hall, we had tenants and allies speak on their terrible experiences with Glendale landlords, and the ways we can build power together when our government refuses any assistance.
If you are a renter in this city and you want to organize together, join us at our weekly meetings on Wednesdays! We are strong when we are many!
